Details

wirueberuns3Maybach vehicles represent some of the jewels in the over 125 year long history of the automobile. In the 1920s and 30s they were not only the largest, most beautiful and most expensive luxury cars on the market, they also led the way in terms of technology. The Museum of Historical Maybach Vehicles in Neumarkt is the only exhibition in the world dedicated exclusively to the developments and products of Wilhelm and Karl Maybach. Two residents of Neumarkt, Anna and Dr. Helmut Hofmann, have put together a collection of 16 historic Maybach vehicles and turned a historic factory building into a stylish, state-of-the-art museum.

Maybach limousines are the most valuable cars in the whole automotive history. Between 1920 and 1941 approximately 1.800 examples of these majestic cars have been manufactured in Friedrichshafen at the Lake Constance. Only 160 Maybach limousines survived over the last centuries.

More than 10 percent of the wohle world asset stands in Neumarkt in the Upper Palatinate. Anna and Dr. Helmut Hofmann have not only collected these 16 precious examples of Maybach cars but have also founded a unique museum where these cars can be visited by the public.
