Hohenloher Freilandmuseum Wackershofen –  General Plan

From stately farmhouse on craftsmen’s houses to Taglöhnerhäuschen, from the mill on wine farms to the station building, the school house on the chapel to prison and more, the range of approximately 70 historic buildings ranging from the 16th to the 20th century. Surrounded by gardens, orchards and fields, inhabited by farm animals historic races, let them past to life.

In a tour through the Hohenlohe Open Air Museum to learn lovingly decorated historic buildings know. Experience creaky wooden floors, rustic painted, magnificent or simple pieces of furniture, toys, craft tools, household utensils, clothing and things that you might have never heard. Follow in the footsteps of the people who once lived there. Come to the open-air museum to experience, learn and enjoy!

We, the museum building you can experience a bygone era.

About 70 historic buildings got a new location in the Hohenlohe Open Air Museum. These individual original pieces have been transposed from different villages of Württembergisch Franken Region on the grounds of the open-air museum. Equipped with all things of the past everyday life, they invite you to discover and experience the past.

We who once lived here tell you how it used to be with us.

In Freilandmuseum the traces of former inhabitants and users of the building preserved and presented. Equipped with furniture, appliances, tools, textiles and much more they tell their own individual stories provide insight into the lives of people in the countryside in ancient times.

We, the animals and plants make us happy admire you.

Schwäbisch Hällisches range pigs, cattle Limpurger, Coburg Fox sheep, goats, chickens, geese and rabbits historic races meet Hohenloh Freilandmuseum with animal life. Trails lead through extensive grounds with lawns and fruit trees. On fields historical cereal are grown in the gardens near the houses are traditional ornamental and useful plants to see.

Day tickets for individual visitors:

Adults: € 7 (Ovenproof Sunday: 8 €)
With Metropol ticket, Baden-Württemberg-Ticket and HNV or KreisVerkehr-day ticket: Individual: € 5 (Ovenproof Sunday: 6 €)
Students teens, trainees, severely disabled from 50%: € 5 (Ovenproof Sunday: 6 €)
Children under 6: free

Day tickets for families:

Family day ticket (with children up to 17 years): 16 € (Ovenproof Sunday: 18 €)
With Metropol ticket, Baden-Württemberg-Ticket and HNV or KreisVerkehr-day ticket: € 11 (Ovenproof Sunday: 13 €)
“One Parent” -Tageskarte (with children up to 17 years): € 9 (Ovenproof Sunday 10 €)

Day tickets for visitors in a group of 15 persons:

Adults: € 6 (Ovenproof Sunday: 7 €)
Students teens, trainees, severely disabled from 50%: € 4 (Ovenproof Sunday: 5 €)
Children under 6: free
School groups: 2,50 €

Season ticket for individual visitors:

Individual: 18 €
Students teens, trainees, severely disabled from 50%: € 12
Family (with children up to 17 years): 35 €
